What if we lived our lives as we play golf? Every lie in a golf requires assessing the situation and the ultimate goal. Each hole requires bringing our skills to bear in different ways. Sometimes it’s best to lay up, other times require our ability to focus all our energy into the sweet spot. Each stroke requires analysis, though not too much. Golf is the only game I know where you call penalties on yourself. All the while we need our brain to get out of the way allowing our actions to flow smoothly.
Could life be so simple? Settle your mind and listen for the best path forward. Become one with yourself and your surroundings. Don’t worry about what others are up to, focus on doing your best no matter what. And perhaps most important, when you make a mistake it is up to us to admit it and fix.
